TRAUMA DOESN'T HAVE TO BE A LIFE SENTENCE
Trauma pioneer Peter Levine has stated that trauma is a fact of life, but it doesn't have to be a life sentence. And yet, for the majority of the more than one billion women, men, and non-binary individuals who have experienced sexual trauma, most of them live with the sense of being alone and isolated in their pain and suffering, struggle with a feeling of being broken or flawed, and are rarely given much hope beyond the ability to better cope with or manage their symptoms. They are living as if the impact of what they have experienced is a life sentence.
